This one is about my dad, Randy — a Marine turned realtor with a love for loud music, cran-grape juice, and office supplies. He was also the guy who rarely said no to my wild ideas.
When I told him I was running for student government with the slogan “Elect a hottie to the student body,” he didn’t even flinch. He sent me to Home Depot with some cash for spray paint, let me raid his office supply stash, and let me empty the cran-grape juice with my friends.
We didn’t always see eye to eye, but he believed in me 100%. This episode is for anyone who’s ever had a parent, mentor, or friend who showed up for them — not with perfect words, but with a can of spray paint and a “you’ve got this.”
